The ICS Masterclass is a case-based, hands-on session focused on real-world asthma management in children.
Participants will:
- Explore he role of ICS in asthma pathophysiology
- Learn how to select the right ICS molecule, dose, and device by age and severity
3.Initiating, stepping up, and stepping down therapy using *GINA-aligned algorithms
4.Recognising and managing ICS-related adverse effects
- Addressing poor adherence, inhaler technique, and steroid fear through effective patient counselling.

❗The Children & Environmental Health track has been designed to explore how environmental factors are shaping child health in Ghana and beyond — and what can be done.
The Children & Environmental Health Track will focus on:
- Introduction to Children’s Environmental Health and Planetary Health
- Effects of climate change on child health, animal health, and plant health
- Environmental impacts on kidney disease and mental health, including effects of illegal mining.
4 Lead toxicity and other heavy metals in children.
5 The critical role of journalists and advocacy in protecting children’s health
