Voices from the Field: Jirapa Health Workers Share ToT Experience
July 3, 2025
Talensi District Benefits from PSG-CIP Emergency Care Training
July 10, 2025As the CIP-PSG Project continues to roll out across the Upper West Region, the impact of the recent Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop is becoming increasingly evident through the voices of participants.
This second feature highlights additional reflections from health professionals representing Jirapa District, who are already implementing what they learned in their facilities and influencing colleagues through mentorship and demonstration.
🗣️ A midwife shared (paraphrased):
“In this training, I have learnt that in taking care of the newborn, washing of hands regularly is important to prevent newborn infections”.
These reflections capture the essence of the service innovation at the heart of the PSG-CIP initiative: empowering frontline workers to take confident, life-saving action.
Why It Matters
Through the dual innovation model — combining the Live Digital Blackboard (LDB) and hands-on clinical training — PSG is fostering a responsive, connected healthcare workforce, particularly in hard-to-reach areas like Jirapa and as each trained representative cascades knowledge within their team, the project’s reach multiplies far beyond the initial session, enhancing care quality across entire districts.
